The Mission

This app was a university project to test the possibilities of location based augmented reality. With the app TrailView AR, you can hold up your phone while hiking and see the points of interest around you conveniently displayed on top of the camera input.

The core aspects of this project were:

• the translation of geolocation points to distance from the user (spherical coordinate system to the flat Unity coordinate system)
• UX design for augmented reality
• implementation in Unity
